TAKE YOUR CHANCE! Europa League to Give Manchester United SQUAD Players’ Chance to Prove Worth!

Since Manchester United secured Champions League football for next season after finishing 3rd in the League, Ole will probably field a weaker side in the Europa League. Key members at the end of season push, like Bruno Fernandes, Paul Pogba, and Anthony Martial, all need rest and should not see much game time during the Europa League restart.

While United’s stars might not be playing, many rotation players will get chances to prove they belong at United for the upcoming season. Ole will look to play a lineup, similar to what played in the FA Cup this season. Crucial players might still play limited minutes, but the majority should go to rotation players.

Potential Lineup

Attackers

Antony Martial will receive a well-deserved break, giving Odion Ighalo the starts for the remainder of the competition. On the wings, Daniel James and Jesse Lingard could see game time. If United secure the Jadon Sancho deal, then Mason Greenwood might play due to Sancho taking some of his game time next season. Greenwood also is in the running for Europa League golden boot, so he may play. Young winger, Tahith Chong will probably come on into games from the bench. Mata should start at CAM, but Andreas Pereira may see some minutes.

Midfield

The Pogba Matic duo needs some rest, while Fred and Mctominay need minutes. Both Fred and Mctominay had brilliant seasons before the Covid break, but fell out of favor since the restart. This Europa League restart is an amazing opportunity for them to guarantee a squad rotation spot for next season.

Defense

At the back, Romero needs to start. Due to David de Gea’s mistakes, Romero should be in between the sticks. Shaw looks to still be injured so Williams will probably play at left-back. Dalot will want some action, but Ole doesn’t appear to prefer him over Williams or Fosu-Mensah. At right-back, Fosu-Mensah should start, with Dalot being the bench option.

This restart is crucial for Bailly, if he fails to play well then he may go out on loan next season. United are openly searching for a center back in the transfer market, so Lindelöf will want the chance to keep his starting place for next season. Ole might also get cheeky and give some minutes to youth player, Teden Mengi.

Glory Glory Man United.
